Description
Traumon ® Gel is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicine for local use on the skin. The medicine contains an active substance - etofenamate in a dose of 100 mg/g gel.
Etofenamate ( Etofenamatum ) belongs to the group of so-called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with analgesic properties. When applied topically, it is absorbed through the skin and accumulates in inflamed tissues , calming the inflammation that causes pain . Application to the skin reduces the risk of side effects typical of oral NSAIDs.
When to use Traumon ® 100 mg/g, 150 g gel for pain and inflammation?
The indications for the use of Traumon ® analgesic and anti-inflammatory gel are:
- blunt injuries such as: contusions, sprains, muscle, tendon and joint strains,
- osteoarthritis of the spine, knee and shoulder joints,
- extraarticular rheumatism.
Typical symptoms of extra-articular rheumatism include pain in the lumbar sacrum, lesions in the periarticular soft tissues, i.e. inflammation of the bursa, tendons, tendon sheaths, joint capsules (so-called frozen joint) and epicondylitis.
A large tube of Traumon® pain and inflammation gel contains 150 g, suitable for the treatment of muscle and joint pain in adults. Importantly, the formula does not leave a greasy layer on the skin after application.
