Biofen children 100mg/5ml x 100ml oral suppository (Biofarm)

Biofen is used to relieve fever and pain in infants and children aged between 3 months and 12 years.
Biofen relieves the fever that can occur after vaccination or the fever that occurs in various diseases.
Biofen relieves mild or moderate pain (throat pain, toothache or the pain caused by the appearance of teeth, headache and other types of pain, such as those associated with dislocations, ear inflammations.)
Biofen contains ibuprofen, a substance that belongs to the class of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs modify the body's response to pain, inflammation and fever.

Ingredients:
The active substance is ibuprofen. Each milliliter of oral suspension contains 20 mg of ibuprofen. 5 ml of oral suspension contain ibuprofen 100 mg.
The other components are: glycerol, Xanthan gum, liquid maltitol, polysorbate 80, sodium saccharin, citric acid monohydrate, sodium p-hydroxymethyl benzoate, sodium p-hydroxypropyl benzoate, strawberry flavor, purified water.

Administration method:
Always administer Biofen exactly as your doctor has told you. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Pain or fever
The recommended daily dose of Biofen is 20-30 mg ibuprofen/kg administered orally, administered in several doses. Depending on the age of the child, the following doses are administered, using a measuring spoon:

Infants aged between 3-12 months
The recommended dose is 50 mg ibuprofen (2.5 ml Biofen oral suspension), 3 times a day.

Children aged between 1-3 years
The recommended dose is 100 mg ibuprofen (5 ml Biofen oral suspension), 3 times a day.

Children aged between 4-6 years
The recommended dose is 150 mg ibuprofen (7.5 ml Biofen oral suspension), 3 times a day.

Children aged between 7-9 years
The recommended dose is 200 mg ibuprofen (10 ml Biofen oral suspension), 3 times a day.

Children aged between 10-12 years
The recommended dose is 250 mg ibuprofen (15 ml Biofen oral suspension), 3 times a day.

Biofen should not be administered to children under 3 months of age.

Treatment of post-vaccination fever
The recommended dose is 50 mg ibuprofen (2.5 ml Biofen oral suspension) followed, if needed, by another dose of 50 mg ibuprofen (2.5 ml Biofen oral suspension), at 6-hour intervals. No more than 5 ml of Biofen oral suspension (100 mg ibuprofen) should be administered in a 24-hour period.
Treatment with Biofen must be of short duration.

In the case of Biofen administration to children over 6 months old, if the symptoms persist for more than 3 days, please contact your doctor.
In the case of administering Biofen to children aged between 3-6 months, if the symptoms persist for more than 24 hours, please contact your doctor.
