Carotenes are substances from the group of carotenoid dyes, of which the most common and well-known is beta-carotene. It is an important precursor of vitamin A, which contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, skin and immunity. Beta-carotene is biochemically transformed in the body and only to the extent that the body needs it, the rest is safely excreted. Therefore, there is no risk of overdose as with vitamin A. It does not contain sugar or dyes. It is suitable for diabetics.

Beta-carotene is a natural source of vitamin A. It is recommended to take it in combination with selenium and vitamin E.
