Theraflu Max Cold and Flu, berry and menthol flavour, 10 sachets, Gsk

Theraflu Max Cold and Flu is used to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu, when nasal congestion (stuffy nose) is accompanied by fever and/or mild to moderate pain, such as sore throat, headache, muscle pain and sinus pain.

Theraflu Max Cold and Flu should only be used by adults and the elderly with a body weight of at least 50 kg.

Benefits:

• Paracetamol is a pain reliever (analgesic) and reduces fever
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride is a nasal decongestant
• Unblocks the nose and helps you breathe more easily by reducing inflammation of the nasal airways
• Ascorbic acid is an essential component of the human diet and complements the daily intake of vitamin C
• It is especially important in the early stages of a cold or flu, as vitamin C stores may be low and appetite may be lost.

Ingredients:

Each single-dose sachet contains paracetamol 1000 mg, phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg (corresponding to 8.2 mg of phenylephrine base) and ascorbic acid 70 mg.

How to use:

• Adults (including the elderly) ) weighing 50 kg or more: One sachet every 4-6 hours, as needed, without exceeding 4 sachets per day
• Maximum daily dose: 4 sachets in a 24-hour period, equivalent to 4000 mg of paracetamol, 40 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 280 mg of ascorbic acid
• Do not exceed the recommended dose or frequency of administration
• Maximum duration of use before consulting a doctor: 3 days
• The minimum number of sachets needed per day for effective treatment should be used for the shortest time necessary to control the improvement of symptoms
• Children and adolescents: Theraflu Max Cold and Flu is not indicated for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Precautions:

• Theraflu Max Cold and Flu contains paracetamol
• DO NOT take this medicine at the same time as any other prescription or non-prescription medicines containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever or cold and flu symptoms
• Do not exceed the recommended dose as this may seriously damage your liver
• Do not use with other medicines to treat cough, cold, nasal congestion or blocked nose.

• Each sachet of Theraflu Max Cold and Flu contains a pale pink to light orange powder, with a distinctive menthol and berry odour.
