Properties:
ParkoLax is a laxative used for the treatment of chronic constipation.
Specialists have established that a healthy transit can lead to a frequency of stools varying from 3/day to 3/week, this interval being considered physiological. In general, it is considered to be constipation when the stools fall below 3/week, and constipation becomes chronic if it lasts more than 3 months.

Constipation is often accompanied by other signs, such as a feeling of bloating, incomplete evacuation, dry and hard stools, difficult defecation.
PEG (macrogol) ± electrolyte formulations are the most effective osmotic laxatives and represent the first-line treatment of short- or long-term functional constipation and have very good safety and efficacy profiles.

ParkoLax is a laxative that acts naturally and gently, having the effect of hydration, lubrication and comfortable, cramp-free elimination of the contents of the large intestine.

The active substance - Macrogol 3350 is an osmotic laxative that attracts water into the colon and helps the faeces become softer, triggers the normal motility of the intestines, thus facilitating defecation. Macrogol is not absorbed in the body, being eliminated with the intestinal contents.
There is no loss or addition of water or electrolytes, because ParkoLax dissolved in water forms an iso-osmotic solution that does not lead to dehydration of the body. Intestinal peristalsis, stool consistency and ease of defecation are significantly improved by administration of iso-osmotic macrogol electrolyte solution.

Composition:
Each ParkoLax 13.81 g powder sachet contains: 13.125 g macrogol (PEG) 3350, electrolytes (sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium chloride), colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium saccharin, orange flavor, lemon flavor - limes.

Administration method:
It is administered to adults and children over 12 years of age. The usual dose is 1-3 sachets per day. One sachet (one dose) of ParkoLax® is dissolved in 125 ml of water. It can be taken at any time, with or without food or drink. It has a pleasant citrus taste. Due to the mild and natural effect, the results appear after a few days after the first administration.

Depending on the effect, the dose can be maintained or adjusted, as follows:
-constipation persists: increase the daily dose (up to 3 sachets/day);
-stools with normal frequency and appearance: maintain the starting daily dose;
-watery stools: reduce the dose or stop the treatment.

ParkoLax can be used over a longer period of time, without addictive effects and without affecting intestinal motility.
