Description
Alka-Seltzer is a medicine in the form of effervescent tablets whose active substance is acetylsalicylic acid ( Acidum acetylsalicylicum ) - 324 mg in each tablet. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. It belongs to the group of acidic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
The drug Alka-Seltzer is indicated for use in adults and, on the recommendation of a doctor, in children over 12 years of age in case of mild and moderate pain, pain and fever during the course of the flu, as well as colds. .
The Alka Seltzer package contains 10 effervescent tablets. After dissolving the effervescent tablet in water, sodium citrate is formed, which has a buffering effect, that is, it maintains the pH level of the substance unchanged, thus neutralizing the excess of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
