Precautions:
Before using Adagin, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or want to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Ibuprofen should not be taken during the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it can cause major disturbances in the heart, lungs and kidneys in the fetus. If it is used at the end of pregnancy, it can cause bleeding tendency in both mother and child and decreases the strength of uterine contractions, delaying the onset of labor.
Treatment during the first 6 months of pregnancy will only be recommended by your doctor if absolutely necessary.
The drug belongs to a group of drugs (NSAIDs) that can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible upon discontinuation of treatment.
Ibuprofen passes into breast milk in very small amounts and breast-feeding should not usually be interrupted during short-term treatments. However, if long-term treatment is recommended, permanent discontinuation of breast-feeding should be considered.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
In general, ibuprofen has no adverse effects on the ability to drive or use machines. However, since at high doses, in individual cases, side effects such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness (reported as common) and visual disturbances (reported as uncommon) may occur, the ability to drive vehicles or to use machinery could be affected.
