Always use this medicine as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Indications:
To relieve mild to moderate pain such as headache including migraine, toothache, period pain and reduce fever.
Composition:
The active substance is ibuprofen. Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is part of a group of medicines called NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) that work by reducing pain, inflammation and fever.
Doses and method of administration:
Always take Adagin exactly as your doctor has told you. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Side effects can be minimized by using the shortest time necessary to control symptoms. Do not take Adagin for more than 7 days without a doctor's recommendation.
Mild to moderate pain and fever: Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age (≥40 kg) : 1-2 tablets taken as a single dose or 3-4 times a day at intervals of 4 to 6 hours. In migraine, the dosage should be: 2 tablets taken in a single intake, if necessary 2 tablets at intervals of 4 to 6 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (1200 mg).
Menstrual pain - Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age : 1-2 tablets 1-3 times a day, as needed. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (1200 mg).
The tablet should be swallowed with a glass of water during or after a meal. To make it easier to swallow or to adjust the dose, the tablets can be divided into two equal parts. If your condition does not improve within 7 days or if it gets worse, you should see a doctor.
Contraindications:
Allergy (hypersensitivity) to ibuprofen, allergic reactions such as asthma, runny nose, itchy rash or swelling of the lips, face, tongue or throat after taking medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid or other pain medicines and inflammation (NSAID), ulcer or bleeding in the stomach or small intestine (duodenum) related to previous use of medicines for pain and inflammation (NSAIDs), ulcer or bleeding in the stomach or small intestine (duodenum), liver, kidney or severe heart disease (including coronary heart disease), last 3 months of pregnancy, significant dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake), any active bleeding (including in the brain), disease of unknown origin resulting in the abnormal formation of blood cells. Do not administer to children under 6 years of age. Ibuprofen should not be taken during the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it can cause major heart, lung and kidney disorders in the fetus. If used at the end of pregnancy, it can cause bleeding in both mother and baby and decreases the strength of uterine contractions, delaying the onset of labor. Treatment during the first 6 months of pregnancy will only be recommended by your doctor if absolutely necessary. Ibuprofen passes into breast milk in very small amounts and breast-feeding should not usually be interrupted during short-term treatments. However, if long-term treatment is recommended, permanent discontinuation of breast-feeding should be considered. Ibuprofen generally has no adverse effects on the ability to drive or use machines. However, since at high doses, in individual cases, side effects such as fatigue, drowsiness, vertigo (reported as common) and visual disturbances (reported as uncommon) may occur, the ability to drive or use machinery could be affected. This effect is accentuated in case of simultaneous consumption of ethyl alcohol.
