Description
Properties: Contains grain ethyl alcohol 55% vol. The artichoke is a sun-loving plant, growing only in the southern areas of our country, where it was brought from the Mediterranean region. It seems that the name "Cynara" is the name of the island of Kinara in the Aegean Sea, where the plant grows spontaneously and in abundance, and that of "scolymus" comes from the Greek scolymos, meaning plants with floral heads that are eaten. It is a herbaceous plant, with a thin and straight stem, with large, ridged leaves, which are harvested when the plant blooms. The red-purple flowers are wrapped in fleshy scales. The artichoke is a highly appreciated liver detoxifier – it has hepatoprotective, choleretic, antiallergic, hypolipidemic, diuretic and laxative action. Main recommendations: Liver: Stimulates the detoxification function of the liver. Other recommendations: Groups of identified compounds explained a series of other beneficial effects: bitter tonic, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, bacteriostatic against Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Proteus. The content of potassium and magnesium salts recommends it as an adjuvant in hypertension and atherosclerosis. Inulin - through its protective effect of the intestinal flora, supports immunity.
