Indications :
SNUP is a medicine for the nose (decongestant) and contains the active substance alpha sympathomimetic xylometazoline. Xylometazoline has blood vessel constricting properties and therefore works as a decongestant on the lining of the nose.

Contraindications:
Do not use SNUP:
- if you are allergic to xylometazoline or any of the other components of this medicine.
- in infants and small children under the age of 6.

Precautions :
Before using SNUP, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
SNUP should not be used by pregnant and lactating women, except on the recommendation of the doctor and after he has carried out a careful assessment of the benefit / risk ratio, since safe use during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. Because overdose may affect the blood supply of the baby during pregnancy and may reduce milk production, the recommended dose should not be exceeded during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
The ability to drive vehicles and use machines is not affected when the drug is used as indicated.

Administration method:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Doses:
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age should use 1 puff of SNUP Nasal Spray in each nostril as needed up to three times a day.

Composition :
- the active substance is xylometazoline hydrochloride. 1 ml of nasal solution spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg. Each spray (of approximately 0.09 ml of solution) contains 0.09 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride.
- the other components are purified sea water, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, purified water.
