Description
Senefol 300 mg is a herbal medicine in the form of tablets intended for use in the short-term treatment of constipation. Senefol is a drug with a mild laxative effect, which begins to be felt 8-12 hours after use. 1 tablet of the preparation contains 300 mg of senna leaves and fruits, which corresponds to 7.5 mg of hydroxyanthracene derivatives expressed as sennoside B.
How does Senefol 300 mg work?
The active compounds contained in the drug, derived from anthranoid glycosides contained in the leaves and fruits of senna, affect the peristalsis of the large intestine, limiting the absorption of water and, as a result, soften the feces and facilitate defecation.
The product is intended for use in the emergency treatment of constipation in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. The package contains 40 tablets.
