Indications:
Octicide is an antiseptic solution (with disinfectant effect) for local use.
It is applied to mucous membranes and adjacent tissues before diagnostic procedures in the anogenital region, including the vagina, vulva and glans penis, as well as before bladder catheterization, for repeated, short-term antiseptic treatment to destroy bacteria and fungi and to also for repeated short-term antiseptic treatment of small superficial wounds.
Do not use Octicide for more than 14 days.

Contraindications:
Do not take Octicide:
- if you are allergic to octenidine dihydrochloride, phenoxyethanol or any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before taking Octicide, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Task:
As a precaution, you should avoid using Octicide during pregnancy. The use of Octicide can be considered during pregnancy if recommended by your doctor, after the first trimester.
Breastfeeding:
There is no experience with the use of Octicide during breastfeeding. Octicide should not be used in the breast area of ​​nursing mothers. Do not use Octicide unless clearly directed by your doctor.
Fertility:
The effects of Octicide on human fertility have not been studied.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Octicide has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Mode of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure.

Octicide is recommended for use in undiluted form. To ensure the best effect, apply
Octicides immediately after injury or at the first signs of inflammation.

For the treatment of wounds, unless otherwise recommended by the doctor, Octicide is applied once a day to the affected area, for no more than 14 days.

Apply Octicide to the affected area by repeated spraying with the mechanical sprayer until the affected area is completely wet.

Usually no dressing or patching of superficial wounds is necessary. However, to prevent further infection of the wound, it is recommended to cover the wound with a dressing.

In all cases, an exposure time of at least 1 - 2 minutes must be observed after application before further procedures are carried out. Follow the instructions carefully to get the desired effect. The maximum effect of Octicide is achieved within 2 hours of application.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if the wound is not healing properly or shows signs of inflammation (redness, burning or swelling). Do not use this medicine for more than 14 days without consulting your doctor.

To date, a limited experience of continuous use for a maximum of 14 days is available, so Octicide should not be used for more than this period.

Use in children and adolescents:
The way to use Octicide is the same for adults and children and adolescents.

Composition:
- The active substances are octenidine dihydrochloride and phenoxyethanol. One gram of skin spray, solution contains 1 mg of octenidine dihydrochloride and 20 mg of phenoxyethanol.
- The other components are: cocamidopropyl betaine solution 38% (contains cocamidopropyl betaine, coconut fatty acid, glycerin, water, sodium chloride), sodium gluconate, glycerol 85%, sodium hydroxide solution 10%, purified water.
