No-Spa ® 40mg, 60 tablets

No-Spa 40 mg contains the drug drotaverine chloride. It belongs to a group of medicines called antispasmodics, which are used to relieve smooth muscle spasms.

The medicine is used for:

• Smooth muscle spasms related to diseases of the gallbladder and bile ducts, inflammation of the gallbladder and bile ducts often associated with gallstones, inflammation of the tissue around the gallbladder, inflammation of the bile duct
• Spasms of the smooth muscles of the kidneys and urinary tract: kidney and urinary stones, inflammation of the renal pelvis, inflammation of the urinary bladder, spasms of the urinary bladder.

The drug is also used as an adjunctive treatment for:

• Gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasm: gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, gastric portal spasm, inflammation of the small or large intestine, spastic colitis associated with constipation and gas in irritable bowel syndrome
• Headaches in animals
• Gynecological diseases: painful menstruation.

Dosage and dosage regimens

Adults: the usual daily dose is 3-6 tablets (120-240 mg) in 2-3 separate doses.

The medicine is intended for short-term use. If the symptoms do not improve after 5 days or worsen, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Mode of use

Tablets are taken orally and swallowed with liquid.

Warning

Caution is required when using the drug during pregnancy. The drug is not recommended during breastfeeding. The medicine is contraindicated for children under 1 year. The use of the drug in children older than 1 year should be consulted with a doctor. The drug is contraindicated in severe renal or hepatic insufficiency or severe heart failure (low flow syndrome). Administration of the drug in arterial hypotension requires increased caution. If any adverse reactions occur, the impact on the ability to drive and use machines must be considered individually. The medicine contains lactose. Store in the original packaging at a temperature of up to 25 °C.
