Mig 400, 10 tablets, Berlin-Chemie Ag

MIG-400 is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, NSAID) that reduces fever (antipyretic).

MIG-400 is used in the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate-severe febrile pain

Composition:

• The active substance is ibuprofen
• Each film-coated tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen.

How to use: 

• Always take this medicine exactly as written in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you
• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
• Maximum daily dose (24 hours) 20 kg-29 kg 6 and 9 years 1/2 film-coated tablet (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen) 1½ film-coated tablets (equivalent to 600 mg ibuprofen) 30 kg-39 kg 10 and 12 years 1/2 film-coated tablet (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen) 2 film-coated tablets (equivalent to 800 mg ibuprofen) ≥40 kg (adolescents over 12 years of age and adults)
• 1/2 -1 film-coated tablet (equivalent to 200–400 mg ibuprofen) 3 film-coated tablets (equivalent to 1200 mg ibuprofen)
• If you have taken the maximum single dose, wait at least 6 hours before the next dose.

Contraindications:

Do not take MIG-400:

If you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other components of this medicine.

If in the past you have experienced allergic reactions after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as:

• bronchospasm
• asthma attacks
• edema of the nasal mucosa
• skin reactions (eg redness, hives or similar reactions)
• in disorders of blood formation of unclear origin.

MIG-400 is not administered to children under 6 years of age or weighing less than 20 kg, as this concentration is usually not adequate.

Precautions:

Before using MIG-400, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

Pregnancy:

• If a pregnancy occurs during treatment with MIG-400, you must notify the doctor
• You can use ibuprofen only during the first 6 months of pregnancy, after talking to your doctor
• Due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child, MIG-400 should not be used during the last 3 months of pregnancy.

Fertility:

• MIG-400 belongs to a group of drugs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) that can affect fertility in women
• This effect is reversible upon discontinuation of treatment.

Breastfeeding:

• The active substance, ibuprofen, and its metabolic products pass into breast milk in small quantities
• Since no negative effects on the child have been observed to date, there is no mandatory interruption of breastfeeding in the case of short-term treatment
• However, if you have been prescribed a longer treatment or with higher doses, you should consider stopping breast-feeding in time
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

Driving vehicles and using machines:

• Because when MIG-400 is used in high doses, adverse reactions in the central nervous system may occur, such as fatigue and dizziness, in some cases reflexes and the ability to drive vehicles or use machines may be altered
• This fact occurs especially in the case of use in combination with alcohol. In this case, you are no longer able to react quickly and promptly to unexpected and sudden events
• Do not drive cars or other vehicles in this case! Do not use tools or machinery! Do not work without a secure footrest!
