Maalox ® is a combined drug indicated for the symptomatic treatment of upper gastrointestinal disorders related to hyperacidity. Symptoms include gastritis, reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus due to a hiatal hernia, indigestion and heartburn due to hyperacidity. The medicinal product Maalox ® can also be used as an adjuvant in the treatment of duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer.

The active ingredients of Maalox®
Maalox ® tablets contain two active substances: aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide with a local effect that neutralizes the excess of hydrochloric acid present in the gastric juice. In addition, the drug has an astringent effect and protects the gastric and duodenal mucosa. Importantly, the preparation does not cause excessive neutralization of stomach contents and secondary stimulation of acid secretion.
