Locasol formula, 400 gr, Nutricia

Instructions for use:
Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and need only be prepared before administration.
Shake the formula before use. The formula should not be heated for more than 15 minutes before feeding. Do not boil the formula or use
the microwave oven for preparing or heating the formula.
The required amount and dilution of the formula must be determined only by the doctor and depends on the age, body weight and clinical condition of each patient
in part. The recommended concentration is 13.1%. To obtain 100 ml of the formula, add 3 measures (4.4g) of Locasol to 90 ml of boiled water and
cool down.
Your child's health depends on carefully following the instructions for preparing and administering the formula. Incorrect preparation can
affect the child's health.

Method of preparation:

For bottle feeding:
1. Wash your hands and clean the area where the formula is prepared. Sterilize bottles and teats.
2. Boil fresh water and let it cool for at least 30 minutes so that it feels warm when you drip on your wrist.
Pour the required amount of water into a sterile bottle.
3. Fill the measure in the box with the Locasol powder and remove the excess with the blade of a clean knife. Do not press the powder into the measure. Just use
measure from the box.
4. Add the prescribed measures of Locasol to the water in the bottle. Place the cap on the bottle and shake until the powder dissolves. Before
feed, make sure the formula is at the right temperature by putting a few drops on your wrist.
5. Formula left in the bottle for more than an hour is thrown away. Formula should not be reheated while feeding the infant.

For children older than 1 year, Locasol can be prepared as a drink (with a straw):
1. Wash your hands and clean the area where the formula is prepared. Use clean equipment to prepare the formula.
2. Use the measure from the box (4.4g) or weigh the Locasol powder.
3. Add a little water from the amount of water required to obtain the formula and mix until you get a homogeneous paste.
4. Continue mixing by adding the rest of the water until the prescribed dilution is reached.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place (5-20°C), away from sunlight. Once the box is opened, use the powder within a maximum of one month.
Always put the lid on the box after use.

Validity period:
15 months from the date of manufacture.
