Larofen Plus, 200 mg, 20 tablets, Laropharm

Larofen Plus contains two active substances:

• ibuprofen, which has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic action (reduces fever)
• pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, which has a decongestant action for the upper respiratory tract and sinuses.

Larofen Plus is recommended to be used to treat symptoms associated with flu or cold, such as: muscle pain, joint pain, headache, fever, accompanied by nasal congestion (sinusitis, rhinosinusitis).

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if your symptoms are reduced to either inflammation/pain/fever or nasal congestion.

Composition:

• The active substances are: ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride
• Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen, 30 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and excipients.

Administration method:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Doses:

• Children and adolescents - Do not administer to children under 12 years of age
• Adults, adolescents and children over 12 years of age and weighing more than 40 kg: It is recommended that this medicine be used using the lowest effective dose, for the shortest time necessary to control symptoms
• The recommended initial dose is 1-2 film-coated tablets. If necessary, the treatment will continue with 1 or 2 film-coated tablets every 4-6 hours
• The maximum recommended dose is 6 film-coated tablets in 24 hours (1200 mg ibuprofen).

Contraindications:

Do not use Larofen Plus:

• if you are allergic to the active substances contained in Larofen Plus (ibuprofen, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) or to any of the other components of this medicine
• if you are under 12 years old and weigh under 40 kg
• if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precautions:

Before using Larofen Plus, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• Do not take Larofen Plus during the last three months of pregnancy
• Avoid using Larofen Plus during the first 6 months of pregnancy, unless your doctor advises you otherwise
• Larofen Plus passes into breast milk; avoid using Larofen Plus during breastfeeding
• Larofen Plus contains ibuprofen which belongs to a group of drugs (NSAIDs) that can affect fertility in women. This effect is reversible upon discontinuation of the drug.

Driving vehicles and using machines:

• In general, Larofen Plus has no adverse effects on the ability to drive vehicles or use machines
• However, since at high doses, in individual cases, side effects such as fatigue, drowsiness, vertigo (reported as common) and visual disturbances (reported as uncommon) may occur, the ability to drive vehicles or using machinery could be affected.
