Description:
- Dietary food for special medical purposes for the dietary regime of infants with recurrent or prolonged diarrhea, being suitable as the sole source of nutrition for the infant from birth and as complementary nutrition after the age of 6 months.
- Normalization of stool consistency: The incomplete absorption of nutrients results in the displacement of osmotic liquid in the intestine, leading to diarrheal symptoms.
- The large amounts of maltodextrin are easily absorbable, and the low fat content of Humana HN reduces the water transition in the intestine and supports the normalization of stool consistency.
- With bananas: The large amounts of fiber, including banana flakes and galacto-oligosaccharides, support the regeneration of stool consistency.
- In addition, the pleasant taste facilitates obtaining an adequate intake of milk.
- Easy to digest: Diarrhea is often accompanied by a short-term decrease in lactase activity as a consequence of lactose malabsorption.
- The lactose content in Humana HN is reduced compared to the adaptation to the affected intestine and balances the absorption of lactose.
Method of preparation:
- Follow the instructions for use when preparing the milk formula.
- Clean the bottle, teat and ring of the bottle well; the product must be prepared before each meal and administered immediately to the child, and the remaining amount must not be reused.
- Improper preparation and improper storage can harm the child's health.
- Do not heat the product in the microwave oven (danger of burns).
- Boil the water, let it cool down to a temperature of 50°C and pour half of the required amount of water into a clean baby bottle.
- Use the measuring spoon included in the box, the back of a knife blade or a similar object to add the required amount of powder to the bottle.
- Close the bottle and shake immediately, then add the rest of the water and shake the bottle again.
- Fix the teat and check if the milk has the right temperature for drinking (37°C).

Humana HN is based on cow's milk proteins and is not recommended in case of allergy to cow's milk proteins, lactose intolerance or glucose and galactose metabolism disorders.

Always contact your doctor when your child has diarrhea for enteral use.
