Effects and benefits:
Ornithine is an amino acid that can be synthesized in the body, but in certain situations (recovery of the body, post-surgery, etc.) it must be administered externally. Ornithine, along with arginine and citrulline, has an important role in the urea cycle, the process by which ammonia is eliminated from the body.
L-ornithine contributes to the synthesis of arginine, citrulline, proline and glutamic acid, as well as proteins.
