Heparoid 100 g

On the doctor's recommendation, it is used for the local treatment of the following conditions:

• Superficial inflammation of the veins accompanied by the formation of blood clots
• Inflammation of the veins that occurs gradually in different places of the vein (migratory phlebitis)
• Inflammation around vein in front leg ulcer
• Inflammation of the veins accompanied by the formation of blood clots, which occur in varicose veins
• Skin ligation in chronic venous insufficiency
• Fresh hypertrophic and keloid scars (hypertrophic scars rise above the level of the surrounding skin, keloid scars spread beyond the wound to healthy tissue)
• Local complications after sclerotherapy (application of a sclerotizing solution to varicose veins and "panicles")
• Inflammation of tendons and their sheaths, post-traumatic blood chips, contusions, soft tissue sprains

Use

Dosing and dosage schemes: Apply a layer of cream 1 mm thick on the affected area and its surroundings 2-3 times a day, which is gently rubbed into the skin.

Duration of treatment:

• For vein diseases, it is used mostly for 1-2 weeks (it is only part of the complex treatment).
• If the lesions do not disappear within 3 days or if the side effects of the drug worsen or occur, stop the treatment and consult a doctor.

How to use:

• For skin use only. The cream is gently rubbed into the skin
• In case of venous diseases, a compressive bandage can be applied
• In case of extensive and painful bleeding, the area treated with the cream can be initially covered with an airtight bandage (preferably overnight)
• In the case of a front leg ulcer, the cream is rubbed into its surroundings

Warning

During the third trimester of pregnancy, the drug is not recommended, due to the possible influence on the course of childbirth (bleeding). During the I and II trimester, the drug can be used for a short time, on small areas of the skin and in justified indications. During breastfeeding, this medicine can be used for a short period of time, on small surfaces and in justified indications. The drug should not be applied to broken skin (open wounds), mucous membranes and eyes. This medication should not be used in combination with other topical medications (eg, containing tetracycline, hydrocortisone). The medicine contains cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparaben. Additional special warnings are given in the SmPC (section 4.4).
