Frest, 1 mg/g gel, 30 g, As Grindeks

Indications:
Frest 1 mg/g gel contains an active substance that belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines, which are used to relieve skin allergies and pruritus (itching) of various origins.

Frest 1 mg/g gel reduces itching by stopping the action of histamine in the body. Histamine is a substance released by the body during allergic reactions. Because Frest gel is well absorbed into the skin, it relieves itching and skin irritations within minutes. Frest gel also has local anesthetic properties.

Frest 1 mg/g gel is used in adults, adolescents and children aged 1 month and over for the short-term relief of itching in skin conditions such as rashes and hives, as well as insect bites , sunburn and superficial first-degree burns of the skin (redness of the skin).
Frest 1 mg/g gel should be used under medical supervision in children aged between 1 month and 2 years.

If after 3 days you do not feel better or if you feel worse, you should see a doctor.

Contraindications:
Do not use Frest 1 mg/g gel:
- If you are allergic to dimethindene maleate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Frest 1 mg/g gel, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Frest 1 mg/g gel should not be applied to large areas of skin, especially in cases of skin damage or inflammation.
You should not apply the gel to your nipples if you are breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Frest gel has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Mode of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Frest 1 mg/g gel should be applied to adults, adolescents and children in a thin layer on the affected and itchy skin area up to 3 times a day.

You should see a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days.
The maximum duration of treatment without consulting a doctor is 7 days.

Use in children and adolescents:
In infants and young children, avoid use on large areas of skin, especially in cases of skin damage and inflammation.
Do not use Frest 1 mg/g gel in children under 1 month of age and especially in premature infants (see Do not use Frest 1 mg/g gel).
Frest 1 mg/g gel should be used under medical supervision in children aged between 1 month and 2 years

How to use Frest 1 mg/g gel:
Frest gel is a medicine for skin use. It is used on intact, unwounded skin.
Do not cover with occlusive bandages.
Do not apply to large areas of skin or to damaged skin or mucous membranes.
Apply a small amount to the area to be treated. Then, gently massage with your hand to facilitate the penetration of the medicine into the skin.

Composition:
- The active substance is dimetinden maleate. 1 g of gel contains 1 mg of dimethindene maleate.
- The other components are propylene glycol, carbomer, type 974P, sodium hydroxide, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride and purified water.
