Diosmin belongs to a group of substances called bioflavonoids and is used to stabilize small blood vessels (capillaries).

The medicine is indicated in adults for the treatment of signs and symptoms of chronic venous disease, such as pain, heavy legs, tired legs, restless legs, night cramps, swelling and trophic changes (changes in the skin due to impaired nutrition and tissue resistance ). It is also indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with an acute state of hemorrhoidal disease (hemorrhoids), such as pain, bleeding and swelling of the anus.

Dosage and dosage regimens

Chronic venous disease: The usual daily dose is 2 tablets once a day or 1 tablet twice a day. Duration of treatment: If the patient does not feel better after 6 weeks of self-treatment, he should consult a doctor. Self-treatment without consulting a doctor can last 3 months.

Acute state of hemorrhoidal disease: During the first 4 days of treatment, the daily dose is 6 tablets. In the following 3 days, the recommended daily dose is 4 tablets. The recommended daily dose for maintenance treatment is 2 tablets. Duration of treatment: If the patient does not feel better after 7 days of self-treatment, he should consult a doctor. Self-treatment can last 15 days. If the symptoms do not disappear, it is necessary to contact a doctor.

Mode of use

The tablets are taken at regular intervals, always whole and swallowed with a sufficient amount of liquid. It is recommended to take the medicine with food.

Warning

Caution is required during pregnancy. The medicine should not be administered during breastfeeding. It is not known whether diosmin is excreted in human milk. The medicine should not be used in children and adolescents due to insufficient data.
