How does water filtration work with Brita Maxtra+ Pure Performance filters?

Unfiltered water flows through the filter inlet. A fine sieve captures coarse particles - organic impurities. Afterwards, the water comes into contact with the filter mixture itself, which mainly contains 2 components. A resin that, as an ion exchanger, reduces the carbonate hardness of water (scum) and absorbs heavy metals (lead, copper). Activated carbon - when water comes into contact with microparticles of activated carbon, there will be a significant reduction of substances that negatively affect the taste and smell of water, especially chlorine and pesticides, which are captured on the porous surface of microparticles of activated carbon ( Micro carbon pearls). The extra fine mesh on the bottom of the filter prevents the possible release of small particles from the filter mixture into the already filtered water. 1.5 liters of water will be filtered in about 7 minutes.
