How does Erdomed Muko work?
Erdomed Muko is a powder medicine for oral suspension. The drug is administered to adults and children over 12 years of age to dilute and facilitate expectoration of mucous secretions from the respiratory tract. Erdomed Muko is used as an adjuvant in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases, such as inflammation of the nose, sinuses, larynx, trachea, bronchi and lungs. The active substance of Erdomed Muko is erdostein (Erdosteinum) - the latest medicinal substance with multidirectional action, which:
- reduce the frequency and intensity of persistent cough,
- facilitates the expectoration of secretions remaining in the respiratory tract by reducing their viscosity and density,
- reduces the risk of developing bacterial infections by reducing the adhesion of bacteria to the respiratory epithelium,
- has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects,
- has a positive effect on the effectiveness of antibiotic therapy.
Erdomed Muko comes in a convenient form of powder sachets for preparing an orange-flavored solution. The package contains 20 envelopes. 1 sachet contains 225 mg of erdosteine. Erdostein is quickly absorbed and does not affect the gastric mucosa, so Erdomed Muko can be safely used in patients with gastric ulcers.
