The medicine contains the substance ulipristal acetate and is an emergency contraceptive within 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sexual contact. It is used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or if a contraceptive method has failed, for example:
- in case of sexual intercourse without protection;
- if the condom breaks or slips;
- in case of not taking the contraceptive pill according to the recommendations.
The medicine is not intended for use as regular contraception. Emergency contraception does not protect against sexually transmitted infections:
- from HIV infection or other sexually transmitted diseases (eg chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, hepatitis B and syphilis).

Dosage and dosage regimens
The treatment consists of 1 tablet, which is taken as soon as possible, but no later than 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sexual contact or after contraceptive failure. If vomiting occurs within 3 hours of taking one tablet, another tablet should be taken. The medicine can be taken at any time of the menstrual cycle.
Children and adolescents The use of the drug does not refer to children of prepubertal age in the indication of emergency contraception. The drug is suitable for fertile women, including adolescents.
Mode of use
The tablet is taken whole and swallowed with liquid. It can be taken independently of food and at any time of the day.
Notice:
- The drug is intended for occasional use, in no case should it replace a regular contraceptive method.
- If menstruation is delayed or symptoms of pregnancy occur, pregnancy should be ruled out before administration.
- The medicine should not be given to women who are suspected or confirmed to be pregnant. The drug does not cause abortion in an existing pregnancy.
- The medicine does not prevent pregnancy in all cases. If the next menstruation is delayed by more than 7 days, has an abnormal character, or if symptoms indicating pregnancy appear or there are doubts in this regard, it is necessary to perform a pregnancy test. Women who become pregnant after taking the drug should consult a doctor.
- If you have unprotected sex after taking this medicine, the medicine will not prevent pregnancy.
- After using emergency contraception, women should use a reliable barrier method until their next period. The medicine may temporarily reduce the effectiveness of regular contraception, such as pills and patches.
- After taking the medicine, menstruation may occur a few days earlier or later than expected.
- After taking the drug, breastfeeding is not recommended for 1 week. During this period, it is recommended that breast milk be expressed and discarded to stimulate lactation.
- The drug may have little or moderate influence on the ability to drive and use machines. After taking the drug, mild to moderate dizziness is common, drowsiness, blurred vision and impaired attention may occur. If such symptoms occur, the patient should not drive or use machines.
- Concomitant administration of ulipristal acetate and emergency contraception containing levonorgestrel is not recommended.
- The tablets contain lactose.
