Diclac gel 50 mg/g, 100 g, Sandoz

Indications:
Diclac belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which are used to reduce inflammation and pain in the joints and muscles.
Diclac is used in the symptomatic treatment of:
- pain in the case of localized forms of degenerative rheumatism, such as: arthrosis of the small joints and the knee;
- muscle or osteoarticular pains of a traumatic nature (traumas of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints, such as: dislocations, sprains, ecchymosis, lumbar pain);
- pain, inflammation and swelling in the case of localized forms of abarticular rheumatism: tendinitis, bursitis, shoulder-hand syndrome and periarthritis.

Composition:
- The active substance is diclofenac sodium. One gram of gel contains diclofenac sodium 50 mg.
- The other components are: isopropyl alcohol, macrogol-7-glycerol cocoate, hypromellose, purified water.

Administration method:

• Always use Diclac exactly as your doctor has told you. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Adults, teenagers and the elderly
• Diclac is administered externally, in a thin layer, in 2-3 applications per day, at the level of the affected area.
• In order to achieve skin absorption of the gel, a gentle and prolonged massage is performed on the painful and/or inflamed area.
• After each application, the hands are carefully washed (except when the gel is used for localized arthrosis in the fingers).

Contraindications:
Do not use Diclac
- if you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other components of this medicine (listed in point 6);
- if you are allergic to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
- if you have skin lesions, such as: eczema, infected lesions, burns, wounds;
- if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions:
Before using Diclac, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Caution is required if you have bronchial asthma, hay fever, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, chronic obstructive respiratory diseases or chronic respiratory infections, history of allergy to other drugs.
The product should only be applied to intact, healthy skin without open wounds or lesions. It should not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes and should not be swallowed.
If a rash appears on the skin after applying the gel, you should stop using it.
If you use it for a long time, you should wear gloves when applying the gel.
The possibility of systemic adverse reactions cannot be excluded by applying Diclac on large areas of the skin and for a long time.
Do not apply the gel under an occlusive dressing.
Children and teenagers
The product is not administered to children, due to the absence of safety studies.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
• Task
• You must not use Diclac gel if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it may harm the fetus or cause problems at birth.
• Do not use Diclac gel during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.
• breast-feeding
• You should not use Diclac gel if you are breastfeeding. If your doctor considers it absolutely necessary to use Diclac gel, it will not be applied to the breasts, on large surfaces of the body and will not be used for long periods of time.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Diclac does not influence the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
