Deep Heat Rub Cream, 67 g, Mentholatum

Indications:
Deep Heat Rub contains methyl salicylate, menthol, eucalyptus oil and turpentine oil.
Methyl salicylate belongs to the group of medicines called preparations with salicylic acid and derivatives, which provide effective pain relief. Menthol, turpentine and eucalyptus oil have a revulsive action, causing a sensation of pain relief.
Deep Heat Rub is a non-greasy cream that should be applied to the skin for pain relief. It is used to relieve: muscle pain and stiffness, including lumbar pain, lombosciatica, fibromyositis, pain of rheumatic origin, frostbite, contusions and dislocations, including those due to minor sports injuries.

Composition:
- The active substances are: methyl salicylate, menthol, eucalyptus oil and turpentine oil. One gram of cream contains: methyl salicylate 0.128 g, menthol 0.0591 g, eucalyptus oil 0.0197 g, turpentine oil 0.0147 g.
- The other components are: propylene glycol, liquid paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, sodium cetostearyl sulfate, lanolin, purified water.

Administration method:

• Always use Deep Heat Rub exactly as your doctor has told you. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Adults, teenagers and the elderly
• Deep Heat Rub is indicated for skin application only.
• Apply a thin layer of Deep Heat Rub to the affected area and gently massage until the cream is absorbed into the skin.
• Apply Deep Heat Rub 2-3 times a day.

Contraindications:
Do not use Deep Heat Rub
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to methyl salicylate, menthol, eucalyptus oil, turpentine oil or any of the other components of Deep Heat Rub;
- if you have had allergic reactions or asthma attacks in the past triggered by acetylsalicylic acid or other pain-relieving drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including those you use orally;
- if you have skin injuries, infections or inflammations;
- in children under the age of 12;
- if you apply other topical medicines to the same areas of the skin.

Precautions:
- if you have bronchial asthma associated with chronic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis and/or nasal polyposis;
- if you have a kidney disease;
- if you have or have had a gastric or duodenal ulcer, including after treatment with pain-relieving drugs;
- if you have bleeding disorders.
You should always apply the cream to small areas of the skin first.
This medicine is only indicated for application to the skin. Do not swallow it.
If you accidentally swallow the cream, contact your doctor or go immediately to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.
Avoid applying Deep Heat Rub to mucous membranes, eyes or other sensitive areas. If this happens accidentally, rinse with plenty of water.
Wash your hands immediately after use.
If severe skin irritation or other adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of Deep Heat Rub.
You should not cover the skin with bandages, plasters or other dressings.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Inform your doctor before using the medicine if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Deep Heat Rub does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
