Description
Clotrimazole cream, 10mg/g, 20g, Hyperion
Indications:
Treatment of skin and mucous mycoses caused by dermatophytes, fungi, yeasts and microorganisms such as Malassezia furfur and skin infections caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum.
Skin diseases determined by fungi and superinfected: interdigital mycosis (Tinea pedum, Tinea manuum), cutaneous mycosis (Tinea corporis, Pityriasis versicolor), mycosis of skin envelopes (Tinea inguinalis, erythrasma), paronychia in onychomycosis (Tinea unguium).
Clotrimazole is indicated in: superinfected seborrheic dermatitis, beard sycosis, favus, mycotic vulvitis (especially with Candida), non-specific vulvitis, inflammation of the penile gland and candidal balanitis.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any of the excipients.
Precautions:
Before using Clotrimazole 10 mg/g cream, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
Task:
There are no controlled clinical studies conducted in pregnant women. It is recommended to avoid the use of clotrimazole in the first trimester. In the II and III trimesters of pregnancy, Clotrimazole Rompharm will be used only if absolutely necessary, after careful evaluation by the doctor of the potential fetal risk/maternal therapeutic benefit ratio.
Lactation:
Since it is not known whether topically applied clotrimazole is excreted in human milk, it should be administered with caution to lactating women, only on the recommendation of a physician.
Ability to drive vehicles or use machinery:
Clotrimazole has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
Mode of administration:
Clotrimazole cream is administered cutaneously. Apply 2-3 times a day, in a thin layer and gently massage until the cream penetrates the skin. About ½ cm of cream is enough to treat an area the size of a palm.
For infections of the labia (candidal vulvitis) and adjacent areas, candidal balanitis and inflammation of the penile gland, apply the cream to the affected area of the skin (for example from the vagina to the anus), 1-3 times a day.
For foot infections, it is recommended to wash and dry the feet, especially between the toes, before applying the cream.
To ensure a complete cure, depending on the indication, the treatment should be continued for another 2 weeks after the remission of symptoms. The maximum duration of treatment is 4 weeks.
Thus, the duration of the treatment in which the cure is obtained is:
- dermatomycosis: 3-4 weeks
- erythrasma: 2-4 weeks
- pityriasis versicolor: 1-3 weeks
- vulvitis and candidal balanitis: 1-2 weeks
