Cal-C-Vita, 10 effervescent tablets, Bayer

Used to cover nutritional needs during periods of growth and development, during illness and convalescence, in the elderly, during periods of mental and physical exertion, during periods of increased susceptibility to colds.

Increasing resistance to infections; in cases of rapid physical fatigue; favoring the healing of wounds and fractures; prevention of vitamin and calcium deficiency and osteoporosis.

Administration method:

One Cal-C-Vita effervescent tablet daily (or as recommended by the doctor), by dissolving it in a glass of water.

This medicine is administered according to the leaflet and according to the recommendations of the doctor and the pharmacist.

Active ingredients:

Each effervescent tablet contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 1000 mg, calcium 250 mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 15 mg, cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) 300 IU

Precautions:

Do not use Cal-C-Vita if: you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the product's components; if you have hemochromatosis, kidney disease, kidney stones or if your doctor diagnoses you with an increased level of calcium in the blood or urine or hypervitaminosis D (excess vitamin D).

The administration of Cal-C-Vita during pregnancy and breastfeeding is considered, in general, to be safe if it is administered in the recommended doses. However, since there are not enough controlled clinical studies in humans to assess the risk of ascorbic acid treatment above the RDA during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the drug should be administered during pregnancy and breastfeeding only when it is clinically indicated and on the recommendation of the doctor.

The effervescent tablets contain 227 mg of sodium. This should be taken into account by patients on a sodium-restricted diet.

In diabetics, vitamin C can interact with glucose tests, although it has no effect on blood sugar. That is why it is recommended that diabetics stop taking vitamin C a few days before measuring glucose.

One effervescent tablet contains 429.7 mg of sugar. This is a medicine that is released without a medical prescription.
