Asaprin 500 mg, 20 tablets, Helcor

Indications:
As an analgesic and antipyretic:

- pain of mild or moderate intensity, headache, myalgia, articular and periarticular rheumatic pain, neuralgia, dental pain, dysmenorrhea;
- fever.
As an anti-inflammatory:
- the treatment of inflammatory phenomena in acute articular rheumatism;
- improvement of joint inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis.

Composition:

• One tablet contains acetylsalicylic acid 500 mg, excipients qs
• Pharmacotherapeutic group: analgesics and antipyretics, derivatives of acetylsalicylic acid.

Administration method:
The tablets are swallowed whole, with a sufficient amount of water, preferably after meals.
Grown ups:

• For the analgesic and antipyretic effect, 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid (one 500 mg ASA tablet) is administered, repeating as needed at 4-hour intervals.
• For the anti-inflammatory effect, 3 - 4 g of acetylsalicylic acid (6 - 8 500 mg ASA tablets) per day, in fractional administration, at 6-hour intervals, are administered.

Children under 12 years:

• The administration for the analgesic and antipyretic effects of viral conditions is done at the doctor's indication and under his strict supervision.

Children over 12 years:

• For the analgesic and antipyretic effect, 250 mg of acetylsalicylic acid (1/2 ASA tablet of 500 mg) is administered, repeating as needed at intervals of 4 - 8 hours.
• For the anti-inflammatory effect in acute polyarticular rheumatism, 85 - 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid/kg and day (without exceeding 3 g per day), fractionated, at intervals of 4 - 6 hours, for 20 - 30 days are administered; then 2/3 of the attack dose is administered for 10 - 20 days, then 1/2 - 1/3 for another 30 - 40 days.

Contraindications:
Do not use ASA by:

- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to acetylsalicylic acid, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or to any of the other components of this medicine;
- if you have or have had an active gastric or duodenal ulcer;
- if you have or have had hemorrhagic diathesis (the tendency of the body to bleed repeatedly);
- if you have or have had in the past bronchial asthma induced by the administration of salicylates or substances with a similar action, especially non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;
- if you have severe heart failure (low pumping capacity of the heart);
- if you have severe liver failure;
- if you have severe renal insufficiency;
- if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy;
- if you are taking methotrexate in a dose higher than 15 mg per week;
- in children and adolescents under the age of 16.

Precautions:
Before using ASAprin, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• Do not use ASAprin if you are pregnant in the last trimester. During the first two trimesters of pregnancy, take ASAprin only if your doctor recommends it.
• During breastfeeding, take ASAprin only if your doctor advises you to do so.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
ASAprin does not influence the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
