Description
Internal parasiticide for cats Drontal Cat, 2 tablets, Bayer Vet
Drontal Cat is an antiparasitic for cats in the form of tablets against segmental worms and roundworms.
Dosage and method of administration:
The dose is 5 mg praziquantel, 57.5 mg pyrantel embonate per kg live weight.
This is equivalent to 1 tablet per 4 kg of live weight.
The product is administered as a single dose.
Drontal Cat is very well tolerated.
No special dietary measures are necessary.
The tablets are administered orally, preferably mixed in a piece of meat, cheese or other food.
Composition:
1 Drontal Cat tablet contains 230 mg pyrantel embonate and 20 mg praziquantel.
Indications:
For the treatment of nematodes, cestodes and hookworms in cats:
Nematodes: Toxocara cati (T. mystax), Toxascaris leonina;
Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Ancylostoma braziliense;
Cestodes: Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus multilocularis, Taenia spp, Mesocestoides spp, Joyeuxiella pasqualei.
Precautions:
As sufficient studies have not been conducted for this combination, Drontal Cat should not be administered during pregnancy.
Drontal Cat should not be administered simultaneously with piperazine-based compounds.
